The Songwriter Gold experience adds a few more hours of time to our standard Songwriter silver. That's more time to work on areas generally regarded as problematic such as song arrangement and vocals. This 6 hour production session will see your creative and expressive ideas come flurishing to life in collaboration with our in-house musician and producer.

The Full Production
Our team has had over 40 years experience in producing & mixing all genres of music from dance and hip hop to folk, Rock and heavy metal music. We can also provide song arrangements and radio mixes, instrumentation of any variety and even vocal harmonies. Not forgetting the finished product is fully mastered to commercial level. Using this knowledge together with your song ideas, whatever genre they may be, we'll produce your track and turn it into a quality production suitable for radio or televison play, uploading to myspace or just to amaze your friends and relatives.
The recording studio experience day
The Songwriter experience caters for up to three participants; the lyricist, the musician and the singer; quite often of course these might all be the same person but if not we can always provide the other.
On arrival all guests will be shown around our recording studio by the engineer and producer. The songwriter discusses his or her "sound" with the producer - maybe even bringing in a selection of well-played tracks off the ipod or from their CD collection to give a better impression of what is required for your session duration. We'll then begin producing that all-important music from scratch. We have an on-site session drummer, keyboardist, guitarist, bass player and computer programmer capable of producing almost any sound from the sublime to the ridiculous! The producer pieces each element needed together in close collaboration with the songwriter until sonic-perfection is reached.
Equipment
You're certainly not expected to be knowledgable on some of more elaborate and intergral parts of the studio - that's what our engineer and producer do for you, but our vast gear-list includes acoustic, electric and classical guitars, basses, three virtual grand piano's, Hammond, Rhodes, synthesizers, amps, Yamaha Maple Custom drums - even the very latest electronic drum kit for triggering our hi-tech drum samples. A seventy-two channel automated digital mixing console and fully-loaded Apple Pro computer (9gb ram and 2tb of storage), coupled with our CD mastering suite makes our production studio one of the most powerful in the UK.

"Contained" is a track written by SIKE, who came to the studio on 7th November 2007 with a Songwriter Platinum experience (8 hours).
"Picking Losers", written by Paul Drake, was produced during a 4 hour Songwriter experience session on 3rd February 2010.
The Musician
Although his identity is unknown (he's the "Stig" of the music world), he plays stuff real well! Session drumming and bass playing for many bands, creating string arrangements and piano parts, and programming complex rhythm patterns on his own sample library banks. Rumour has it he's buying a real Cello soon too. Sounds impressive huh! Frankly, if he does'nt know how to do it, he'll learn it before you get here! He (or she) is ideal for any instrumentation you are not confident playing.
