Sike (Mike - Lyrics & Vocals, Sam - Piano) came to Gift Daze for a Songwriter experience in November 2007. They had written the song "Contained" the night before, and it consisted of piano and vocals.
We recorded the basic piano/vocal arrangement from Mike and Sam, then we set to work. We re-arranged the track, added a drum loop, live bass, drums, string arrangement, brass stabs, funky guitar riff & electric guitar solo, a few Jupiter synth sounds, a tambourine in the chorus, and finally got Mike to do multi-layered backing vocal tracks (around 20 of them).
The track was finally mixed and mastered to CD. We got Sike to pose for a CD picture too. Nice!
